Learning How to Trade Forex

"There are more and more people that want to learn how to trade forex lately, and it's a beautiful thing to see. The problem is that the new and aspiring traders don't ask themselves the right questions. Asking ""How do I trade forex?"" doesn't make much sense. It's as if I were to ask ""how do I play music?"" Just as learning to play music depends on the instrument, learning how to trade forex depends on exactly what you want to do with it.

Our company teaches people to trade for many years. We've met them all. We've met aspiring professionals, people that are just curious to see how we do it, people that just want to supplement their income, gamblers, all of them. Each of them asked us the fatal question ""how do I trade?""

Well as I said, trading and learning how to trade forex depends a lot on what you'd like to do and your own personality. If you would like to be a professional and you have a lot of time on your hand, you could learn to trade actively on short term time frames. If you want to trade on the side of your job, you could trade on higher time frames with very long term strategies which only require you to check your charts a couple of times per week.

Are you emotional? Do you have discipline? Do you want to trade frequently? Are you easily bored? Are you an action junkie? Are you very busy?

Finding answers to all these questions will help you realize which type of trader you are or will be, and then you will know where you should direct your learning attention.

The good news is that all types of people are teachable. I mentioned before that we've met all sorts of people, but I forgot to mention that we've also taught all these people to be profitable. It's not a matter of whether or not you can succeed, it's a matter of finding out what suits you and act on it.

The right learning path is therefore to first look at yourself, find out what you would like to do and to what purpose. Once this is done, you can go and start learning strategies. Many, too many, people do the complete opposite. They first look for strategies and start applying them without even giving it a second thought. What happens next? They get distracted because the strategy they found requires them to be attentive to every tick and they don't have the time. Or they over trade because the strategy they found requires them to be very patient but they have nothing else to do so they keep entering bad trades. You get the picture.

Our professionals have many years of experience and can help you figure out what's good for you, and then direct you to the appropriate strategies that will suit your personality. Learning how to trade forex is simple once you know exactly what you're supposed to look for."
